(Vancouver, B.C.) Mr. Jeff Booth, President and CEO of BuildDirect, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. John D. Roach to the Board of Directors. Mr. Roach is Chairman and CEO of Stonegate International, a private investment and advisory services company based in Dallas, Texas. He is also Executive Chairman of Unidare US, the North American subsidiary of Unidare plc, and Irish company headquartered in Dublin.
Mr. Roach most recently served as Chairman, President and CEO of Builders FirstSource, Inc. (1998-2001), which is currently the second largest distributor of building products to production homebuilders in the United States. Prior to Builders FirstSource, Mr. Roach served as Chairman, President and CEO of Fibreboard Corporation (1991-1997), a building products company which was acquired by Owens Corning in July 1997. Previously, he had been Executive Vice President of Johns Manville Corp., where he was responsible for all building materials and industrial products businesses.
Mr. Roach is currently a member of the Board of Directors of PMI Group, Inc., Kaiser Aluminum Corp., URS Corporation and Material Sciences Corporation. Previously, he served as a director of The Washington Group (formerly Morrison-Knudsen), NCI Building Systems, The American Stock Exchange, Thompson PBE, Magma Power and Fibreboard Corporation.
