Mr. Bentley is a also a member of the International Advisory Council of the Chase Manhattan Corporation of New York, and the Canadian Advisory Board of the Carlyle Group.
Mr. Bentley is Chairman and a Director of Canfor Corporation and a Director of its principal subsidiary, Canadian Forest Products Ltd. He is also Co-chairman and a Director of Howe Sound Pulp and Paper Limited; a Director of B.C. Chemicals Ltd.; and a Director of the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research. In 2000, Mr. Bentley retired as Director of Shell Canada Ltd., and he will be retiring as a Director of the Bank of Montreal at the end of February 2001.
